Exhibition “The Secrets of the Leaning Building”

From 9 August 2024 until 2 February 2025 an international contemporary art exhibition for children takes place at the Tartu Art Museum.

The exhibition will be on view throughout the three floors of the museum as well as in the Tartu public space. The display is composed of playful artworks created in partnership between artists and local children and families. The aim is to bring contemporary art closer to children and support the development of social skills through art. The exhibited works allow for the development of self-expression and cooperation, as well as provoking exciting encounters.

Participating artists and partners: Simon and Tom Bloor (UK), Leisure: Meredith Carruthers and Susannah Wesley (Canada), Lundahl & Seitl (Sweden), Jaakko Autio (Finland), Sigrid Viir and Kristiina Hansen (Estonia), Anna-Liisa Kree (Estonia), Jarõna Ilo (Estonia), William Forsythe (USA, Germany), the Bullying-Free School Foundation (Estonia), the Vivita Creativity Accelerator for Kids and Youths (Estonia) and others.

The exhibition is one of the main events of the project Creative Connections which is part of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 main programme.
