On Thursday, June 13 at 6:00 p.m., a guided tour will take place with the poet Jaan Malin and curator Mae Variksoo at the exhibition “Ilmar Malin. The Glow of Eternity”. The tour is in Estonian, to participate you need to purchase an exhibition ticket.
The exhibition brings together a selection of unique works by Estonia’s pre-eminent surrealist Ilmar Malin. Besides some of Malin’s most renowned paintings, the exhibition offers a chance to discover works that have never before been on public display.
Jaan Malin (b. 1960) is a poet, curator and organiser of various cultural events including Crazy Tartu. In the present context, it’s worth mentioning that he is also the son of Ilmar Malin.
“Ilmar Malin. The Glow of Eternity” takes place within the framework of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 main programme.
