A chance to hear all about the abstract art exhibition “Lola Liivat. Spiritual Resistance”. The curator Hanna-Liis Kont will lead the tour through two floors of the museum, explaining the context of the exhibition and providing interesting insights into the works of Lola Liivat. Participation with the museum ticket.
Lola Liivat is one of the most important developers of Estonian abstract painting and was one of the first practitioners of abstract expressionism in Estonia. Liivat worked under the Soviet rule for a large part of her career, when abstract art was disapproved of or even forbidden.
