LOOVHOOV OUTDOOR LEARNING LESSON
Target group: elementary school (adaptable for other age groups, including adults)
Lesson duration: 60 minutes
Price: €2 per student
Location: Tartu Art Museum and the city space around it (Raekoja plats 18, Tartu)

In the outdoor lesson LOOVHOOV we explore the outdoor space, make activity patterns and solve creative tasks. The lesson combines creativity, movement, social skills development and outdoor learning methods. Outdoor learning cards are used in the lesson, which guide you to perceive both yourself and the outdoor space through playful activities. Observation, movement and activity tasks make you notice the environment, verbalise your feelings, express yourself, play and take each other into account in cooperative actions. The aim of the lesson is to support the development of social skills, helping both the teacher and the students in forming positive group dynamics.
Most of the lesson takes place outdoors, please wear comfortable and weatherproof clothes. If you want to visit the Tartu Art Museum’s exhibition “The Secrets of the Leaning Building” before or after class, please let us know when you register. In this case, 1 euro per student is added to the lesson price.
The LOOVHOOV cards used in the lesson have been developed by Sireli Uusmaa and Jane Meresmaa-Roos within the project “Creative Connections”.
